Ya true seems college women are into country singers the problem is if you fake twang they will know your faking it. All country singers I feel naturally sound like that. Do you need a really low voice for that?

I did exactly what you shouldn’t do. I just noodled around most of the time without any proper schedule.
You should dedicate 30 min a day to proper practice (chord changes and control of both hands, scales). Then you can have fun on it.

Also good having a metronome and practice singing (at least humming).

What I achieved in 5 years could probably be done in 1 year with proper practice.

Just start it casual with practicing along with the guitar. Humming all the notes with the guitar and maybe look at some breathing and relaxation stuff on YouTube. Then consider coaching.
