That’s a debate for the scholars and well versed

I’m shafi’i and the major scholars say it is. If you truly follow the zhahiri school of thought I don’t know if there’s anything wrong with that

Bro Ibn hazms literalism was pretty crazy at times, he said that if u dont lie down and take a rest in between your fajr fard and sunnah prayers Ur whole namaz is invalid. Also the Zhahiri methodology of things being Halal unless specified is really bad.

There is no sin on the one who drinks or eats during the day in Ramadan by mistake and his fast is still valid, because Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error.” [Al-Baqarah 2:286]

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever forgets when he is fasting and eats or drinks , let him complete his fast, for it is Allah Who has fed him and given him to drink.”
