If Europeans can advocate for secularism, Christianity, socialism or any other ideology, Muslims can advocate for Sharia too. I am not a proponent of democracy nor do I particular care for its specific values but the way democracy operates it only ever works and is effective in a country that is united in ethnicity or similar religions, with even those similar religions acting as fifth columns and subversives (catholics in WASP america and britain is an example of this), when you get a mixed bag of different races and different religions the result is ethnic blocs conflicting over their interest in one country, arabs would consistently try to vote in and bring in their religion into the government and trying to bring the government to support their ethnic conflicts in the middle east so that the natives now have to go along with what they want, the reason democracy worked to a fairly coherrent degree for a while now is because these countries either extremely limited who gets citizenship and making it so that democracy is under the control of the natives only, this is why I oppose mass immigration because why would I want people foreign to me gaining power in my own country, it goes against mine and my people's interests

The Gulf model works because those countries have a completely different structure: small citizen populations, huge wealth, and temporary migrant labour systems. It cannot simply be copied to large European states.

A country has the right to control immigration, citizenship, and integration. But the idea that democracy only works when one ethnicity remains the only political bloc is historically questionable. Societies have always had internal divisions (class, religion, region, ideology), and the solution is strong institutions, not assuming groups will always act as one.

The concern about politicians using immigration for votes is a legitimate debate, but immigrants are not a single political bloc. Their views differ by generation, class, religion, and personal interests.
