There is a hadith stating the sun rising in the West. Maybe this is what is meant by it.
Meanwhile so-called Muslims in "Muslim countries" playing role of gatekeeper like as if their history or ancestral background legitimizes their authority. This dynamic will play out for the rest of the century and beyond, just as 'Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange' in lands far away whose people are more closer to truth than those who claim to simply inherit it.
