my last thread about must watch movies:
https://looksmax.org/threads/must-watch-movies-and-shows-thread-for-bored-incels-ft-proex.1568595/
-- was my first take at a longer thread and was HORRIBLY made
, with multiple mistakes, yet still gained decent traction, which tells me y'all are bored asf and have nothing to do.
therefore, since there was cinema entertainment, now we'll be talking about:
MUST PLAY GAMES THAT'LL ENTERTAIN YOUR LOW ATTENTION SPAN THROUGH THE ENTIRE GAMEPLAY RUNTIME
The games listed will not only completely excel in graphics and performance, but will also be pieces of art that'll be (as before said) entertaining with insanely satisfying gameplay elements.
as always, quick disclaimers - this list isnt a ranking, and order has no relevancy to the quality of the game. This list WILL be biased. No AI was used in the making of the thread.
tip: almost all of the games listed are available for free through fitgirl

scrolling music for all the ost enjoyers

WE HAVE THE GOAT OF SINGLEPLAYER GAMES
THE GOD OF WAR FRANCHISE
known for its cinema-level story telling, satisfying and revoluntiary combat - in both the hack and slash (2005-2010) and action-adventure phases (2018 & 2022) - the God Of War series is a beloved (and a personal favorite of your host) franchise.
These games feature you playing as Kratos - The Ghost Of Sparta, a revenge driven spartan who overcomes troubles like ESCAPING HELL through pure rage and will. In his adventures you'll uncover worlds, characters and items from both the greek and nordic mythology. Becoming the god of war feared (or respected) throughout all of the realms.
On a personal note, even if you arent into old school hack and slash games, the 2018 and 2022 god of war games are nothing like their predecessors, and are absolutely something you should try. The games are stunning visually and dont require an insane hard drive. Both have a very complelling and bingable story, and the gameplay will keep you playing even if you arent a fan of story driven games. Absolutely give these games a try

GHOST OF TSUSHIMA
this game takes the spot as one of the most beatiful games ever made, both visually and story wise
I've played lots of games in my lifetime and this is the only game that has ever satisfied me in every single category. The story is perfectly crafted AND told, and the gameplay is satisfying - basically being assassin's creed but 20x better

. If you like sword fighting or stealth, this is the perfect piece for you.
In the game you play as Jin Sakai, a samurai fighting for survival and the improvement of his home during a mongol invasion. Throughout the story you find intresting ways to fight back, with upgrades, armors, charms and swords (which all also change your appearance) all having different mechanics that enhance you and turn you into a godlike swordsman. The games combat pushes the parry and perfect dodge mechanic a lot, especially in the lethal difficulty, in which one mistake WILL lead to death.

i think everyone expected this classic to be here
RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2

This game is straight-up a masterpiece in storytelling and open-world design. Rockstar took everything they learned from rdr1 and GTA and made a wild west experience so immersive, you’ll swear you’re actually out there riding horses, robbing trains, and trying not to get shot by some retarded cowboys.
I swear, i would give my soul to relive this game for the first time
You play as Arthur Morgan, a loyal but conflicted outlaw trying to survive and protect his pals during the dying days of the wild west. The story hits hard with themes of loyalty, betrayal, and hard work to better your loved ones futures while you’re fighting your own self.
Ive played through the game twice, totaling 190 hours

the goat of creative stealth games
THE DISHONORED TRILOGY

prepare for a long one, cause i really really love these games..

Known for its masterful blend of stealth, supernatural abilities, and decision driven story/gameplay, the dishonored series offers a gripping experience set in a dark, plague-ridden world inspired by old english steampunk aesthetics.
This is hands down, the best and most satisfying stealth (and chaos) game ive ever played.
You take on the role of Corvo Attano in the first game, a bodyguard of the empress who later turned assassin framed for murder. Then, in Dishonored 2: Emily Kaldwin, both fighting to reclaim their honor and save their city from corruption and chaos. The story is rich with political intrigue, moral ambiguity, and as said before - consequences that shift depending on your actions. The gameplay shines with the amount of freedom you get - whether you prefer to ghost silently through levels using powers like blink, possesing or FUCKING stopping time, or take a more aggressive approach with devastating abilities. The level design is intricate and encourages creative problem-solving, rewarding players who experiment with different tactics.

RISK OF RAIN 1&2
THE BINDING OF ISAAC
BALATRO
with binding of isaac taking the first spot, these 3 are my favourite roguelike games, that i believe shouldnt be ignored by any singleplayer game enjoyer
not to confuse anyone tho, these games also have multiplayer.

describing what i love about all of these games would take an entire thread, but simply put, these games and their progression allow you to become a god. There are elements that are still new to me after thousands of hours, and you never stop getting better and better.
The games have a MASTERFUL soundtrack, with risk of rain 2 (and its dlcs) having the best ost ive EVER heard in a game. The gameplay is addicting and is easily my favourite genre of games.
