My acne breakouts stopped after I stopped taking hot showers

After 3 years of trying to combat it using some weird ass medications in the process, it turns out this was most likely the cause. I would take two 20 min+ boiling hot showers with lots of the water going on my face daily for essentially those past 3 years. It was the one thing that stayed the same throughout so it checks out in being the cause

Now it’s 5 minute freezing cold shower or death

Any water that skin sees as hot could open up the skins pores so idk I’ll still do cold showers because acne scares me
