You're friendless because you're most likely socially awkward, anti social as fuck, insecure, you at one point were very social in school/irl but then you decided to rot inside all day and play videogames and you forgot how socialize. Which is what happen to me during highschool I got addicted to call of duty and didn't want to hang out/talk to my friends anymore so i turned them away but then i quit that shit and realized that online gaming is a waste of time and everyone you meet on there is toxic. IRL relationships are more meaningful and you feel more connected to them then someone over a screen, Now i'm back in my social circle irl i've been in since i was a kid and life has never been better, cut off all the friends i made through gaming because none of them were as supportive and non toxic as my irl buddies. Anyways back to the point of this thread.. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there (This sounds like the most bluepilled cliche advice ever but were not talking about girls here you faggots before you say some bluepilled shit, were talking about men here, and men don't fucking care how you look when you're making friends as long as you don't smell like shit and look extremely comically ugly because obviously then they wouldn't want to take you out to bars or something. But even then guys that you guys would consider "ugly and its over for them" go to bars and have friends, but in reality they aren't really ugly they're just average looking people. talk to people your age older if u want, its better to to this in a workplace or school, or going to like a gaming convention or some shit somewhere where people have the same interest in you, you can def make friends in the gym too, obviously going to someone and being like "Hey wanna be friends!" sounds autistic as fuck and no offense sounds like something @TraumatisedOgre would do jfl.

Thats completely fine if talking to people for a long time tires you out. If you're around supportive friends it shouldn't matter they'll understand. im the same way sometimes. But irl connections are something else, never compared with online for me, you can just truly vibe with someone.

I had big social circles untill puberty around the age of ~13 when our group basically split off between guys that were doing well with girls, started doing drugs, etc. And incel nerds. I became part of the latter. It was a brutal split between guys that were having girlfriends at age 13 and doing XTC in the weekends, and guys still playing with lego lmao.

Eventually you get bored of hanging out with incel nerds and you prefer playing videogames. Combine that with my class being split up and being stuck with new people only that already had established social circles from years before... it was impossible to make new friends.

After high school I commuted to a STEM university, which sealed the deal

Yeah, I guarantee most "introverts" are just socially regressed rotters. Wether its their fault or not is mutually exclusive. I am one of those people who became a rotter. While sometimes I need to be alone, I wouldn't say im either an introvert or an extrovert.

If I am doing something engaging with other people, I am an extrovert. Something I don't find engaging is having really long convosations with people about stuff that doesn't interest me. This is often what happens at a party if your not playing a game. If you find having convosations with lots of people engaging you are more likely to consider yourself "extraverted".
