My apology

I am writing to you with a heavy heart to express my sincere apology for my past behavior towards Jewish people. Looking back, I now realize that my actions and words were hurtful, offensive, and completely unjustifiable. I want to emphasize that my actions were in no way a reflection of my true beliefs, and I deeply regret the pain and distress they may have caused you and others.

I understand that my words and behavior have perpetuated harmful stereotypes and contributed to a hostile environment, and for this, I am truly sorry. I want to make it clear that I have taken the time to educate myself about the rich history and culture of Jewish people, and through this process, I have gained a deeper appreciation for their contributions to society.

We are deeply sorry for the historical injustices, discrimination and persecution inflicted upon the Jewish people. We recognize that anti-Semitism has caused great harm, including forced displacement, torture, and genocide. The events of the past have left wounds that may never fully heal, but it is our duty to work towards creating a world where all people can live free from fear and hate.

We pledge to continue to educate ourselves, to speak out against anti-Semitism and to work together to combat prejudice and promote understanding. Let us work towards building a future where all people can live with equal dignity and respect.
