I told her even if we don't have the same rape risk, there's still plenty that can go wrong: mugging, aggravated assault, murder, etc

After I pointed out men can get mugged, aggravated assaulted, or murdered in a dark alley, she said "Muggings, aggravated assaults, and murders are more terrifying than asking a foid out. I'm surprised you'd rather walk through a dark alley at night than ask a foid out."

I then told her "Muggings, aggravated assaults, and murders are more terrifying than asking a foid out, yeah. But from a statistical standpoint, I'm far more likely to get rejected on an askout than I am to get mugged, murdered, or aggravated assaulted in a dark alley. That's why I'd rather take my chances in the dark alley"

Foids minimize how crippling rejection is (especially for a man who's been rejected close to 100% of the time...and whose self-esteem is crushed from being told all throughout high school that no foid would ever want me)

...yet then the very foid minimizing the pain of rejection would never take the risk of asking a man out

The foid the thread is about (cartoon to protect her privacy...yet looks extremely close to her)
