Regarding my beard, I have a very thick beard, but when I shave I don't get folliculitis, but my skin gets very irritated and I get ingrown hairs. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Currently I use a number 0 hair clipper, but I'll be a military firefighter soon and the corps requires me to shave with a razor every day.
