When I was in middle school school I was naturally talented in only one thing, the literal only thing i’ve ever been good at was…. endurance running (long distance track/cross country) when I was 13 I ran my first sub-6 mile(not to hard but i did it with no prior training) a couple months later I ran a 5:31 mile and that is when I realized I could be good and got serious about it. I then broke the 5 minute mile a couple months after, but little did I know that this was going to be one of my last runs.

I was wresting with my brother when he pushed me over and I was in this position

he then kicked me very hard in my kidney while in this position. It hurt, but not for long. Later that night I went to dinner and walking back to the car my back started hurting,(not joking i run into a fellow xc runner and he commented on how i looked like i was in pain and his dad said sum like “the pain of running” or sum corny shi) When I arrive home I was in the worst pain ive ever felt(doctor said people who have had this before say it hurts more than giving birth) and I was throwing up from the pain, my parents were to take me to the doctor first thing tomorrow because it was late. Come tomorrow I go to the doctor and he prescribed be pain meds and scheduled a meeting later. he advised me not to run anymore and I was very sad about this because only thing i was ever good at I had to stop. I meet the doctor again and He schedules 2 surgery’s (first one day before thanksgiving and second one day after christmas, weird dates ik) these surgery’s kinda ruined the holidays because I was in immense pain. I had about 3 months of not being able to run(only upside of this is since ai didn’t go to first period I could wake up at 9:30) fast foward three months I start running again and I just can’t, it is so bad and I feel just so slow to the people that I used to lap during practice. I only went to practice for a couple weeks before coach told me that he is not having me on the team anymore. (I go to one of the best xc scools in the nation so that’s why he takes it so seriously) After that my mom made me do a sport so i’ve been doing mma for a few months now and, i just think about it a lot how I could’ve been really good,

Running is a mogger physical activity
Makes you a Stamina God/agile, builds endurance and if u start early,it also helps you grow taller
Too bad that life took a turn and things went bad for you....

How is it a regret if you couldn't really control the fact your brother did an unfair move without warning. It wasn't necessarily in ur contol.
