The right side of my jaw is smaller than optimal and the left side is even more so smaller than optimal, my face is asymmetric as a result.
A custom Bimax can advance me forward to optimal while also solving the asymmetry.
The orthodontist I had as a teenager suggested a surgery to take a piece from the right side of my mandible and put it in the left side. I explicitly asked him whether this surgery was needed because my left side was too small, and he said, "no, your right side is overexcited".
Bro was literally gonna recess me more for some symmetry.
