My cat attacked me

It's a neighbourhood cat that I often pet. It's more friendly than other cats in my area. So I was stroking it for like 2 mins. And it did what it usually does, circling me and rubbing it's body against me.

I put my face towards it and it sniffed it and mutually put it's face towards mine then I decided to pick it up and it quickly scratched me and crawled like a feet away and sat.

I went towards it and pet it again.

I have cuts on my face and very slight bleeding.
