I’m intentionally going to keep the details vague. No location, no names, no club, nothing that could identify anyone involved.
For context this friend is around 6’4 well built and definitely CL and this happened somewhere in Asia, so he stands out even more than he normally would. Obviously he is very confident and bold too.
He goes out one night with a couple of guys to a pretty popular club. Nothing unusual. They’re drinking, partying, having a good time. At some point he notices a girl at the table next to them. They already vaguely know each other so they start talking.
Everything seems completely normal. She’s comfortable around him, they’re joking around and at some point he literally picks her up and starts bicep curling her. She’s laughing and clearly playing along.
What he DOESN’T know is that her boyfriend is there.
And apparently the boyfriend had been watching this whole interaction unfold.
So imagine the scene from his perspective: some 6’4 jacked dude is standing there casually curling his girlfriend in the middle of the club while she’s enjoying it. My friend still has absolutely no idea this guy even exists.
Then, completely out of nowhere
BANG.
The boyfriend grabs a bottle and smashes it straight into my friend’s head.
No warning. No confrontation beforehand. Nothing.
Luckily my friend was ultimately okay but the immediate aftermath looked fucking insane. Blood everywhere. His shirt was basically soaked red and his face was covered in blood.
And the craziest part is that from my friend’s perspective he had no clue what was happening until after the fact. One second he’s fucking around with a girl who seems completely receptive to him the next second he has a bottle smashed over his head because apparently her boyfriend was standing there watching.
I’m not posting this just because the story itself is insane.What actually stuck with me is the level of jealousy that can come out when a guy feels completely mogged in front of his own girl.
Obviously smashing a bottle over somebody’s head is fucking psychotic regardless of the circumstances. But it’s wild to think that simply being the bigger better looking guy getting attention from someone’s girlfriend can trigger that level of rage in another man.
