literally my second day at this job, and this middle aged lady kept asking me small talk questions and I was really high and couldn’t handle it and kept giving one word answers

Eventually I just stopped listening and pretended to go do a task somewhere else.

After my shift she pulled me aside and told me it was incredibly rude what I did to her earlier and that doesn’t tolerate that typa behavior blah blah blah
