Its harder if you were born into a family where your dad doesn't care for his body or looks at all and so can't teach you from a young age how to looksmax.
Also nigga has no idea about life or money.

How old are you.

Sometimes you just gotta be your own father.

The sooner you realize the better.

This forum won't either

Yeah personally I realized this around first year of uni (it has been 4-5 years since then) when I had to move on my own.

Having no real father figure/being sheltered most of my life was a brutal pill to swallow.

At 17 I was still too young/immature to fully comprehend the damage not having a "man" image/model can have to your development as a male.

Regardless it has been some time since then.

What advice I can offer is to confront your father about this trauma, let it all out if you can, as he deserves to know the pain and suffering it has caused you (whether you have fully realized this or not).

Even if you do not confront him, you need to bring this stuff up to the surface and not let it rot in your subconscious.

Once you have come to terms with your reality, the best thing you could do is simply move forward and focus on the present and not dwell on the past.

I hope that helps.

My dad walked into my room when I was in the final year of high school. He told me he won't pay for college. When I was 18 he told me to pay rent. So I left. Haven't talked to him since!

Are you white american? if so I don't understand why some white americans almost have this disdain for their kids enough to refuse to help them out in anyway past 18.

I'm Russian.
About Americans, it's German work ethic; when Americans kick their children out, they want them to succeed, American dream way (American mentality is also protestant-capitalist).
That's what keeps the wheels of the economy turning. You can lay the map of euro countries where people leave their parents on top of the map of richest countries and they'll match.
