My dad insults me some times

Is this narcissistic abuse? My dad some times calls me fat and implies I am a loser. He says I am smart and talented but I wasted my life . He says other things like "you probably won't be successul at that" . Or "You probably won't get that TV show you auditioned for". Do you think it's really a nice thing to do? I take care of him and he's over 80. I don't get any respect from him at all. Then he guilts me by saying "Son, I'm so sorry I wasn't the best father. I tried my best". Maybe try not insulting me?
