My dad texted me “hi” at boxing practise

So today I had boxing practice, and during sparring, my phone buzzed. It was a text from my dad saying, “Hi, how’s boxing practice going?” I told him I was sparring with someone and trying to focus, but the distraction was real. After a few minutes, I managed to land some good jabs. Later, during a break, I checked my phone again and replied to him. It was nice to have that quick check-in from him.
