And most wont even mention that you need surgery in a lot of maluclusion cases they will just try to get you to the camouflage orthondontics.Go to a maxfac instead. They are more specialised in aesthethics. Most dentist are just functional educated and unless you got a functional problem (bad bite or pain somewhere when chewing) they won't do something.

OP, do you have a class 3 bite? (underbite)?
How can I know if there is a maxfac clinic in my country/city? And what's the difference between a maxfac and a maxillofacial orthodontist?Go to a maxfac instead. tbh I don't know the difference between those 2. Maxfac performs surgery for aesthetic reasons, like implants or bimaxes, and got a better aesthetic view. They may also do some orthodontic treatment or help you in the right direction and connect you with a orthdontic they got good experience with. I know Defranq is a Maxfac but also does orthodontic treatment. If your ortho does at least a cephalometric analysis you should be fine. How can I know if there is a maxfac clinic in my country/city?
