My accutane induced hairloss is getting fucking extreme. Losing 300+ hairs a day. It's apparently called "telogen effluvium" which occurs when your body encounters a major stressor (Accutane).
Before taking this drug, the derm told me to my face that "hairloss on accutane is a myth". He lied to me, and I believed him. I'm going to see him for my next monthly visit in a few days and I'm going to tell him that I'm discontinuing the treatment due to my hairloss. He will probaly deny my hairloss.
I'm so fucking pissed brocels, my hair volume has gone down atleast 30% so far. If I keep shedding at this rate, I will be bald in a year. Apparently this hairloss from accutane can be PERMANENT, so I'm genuinely freaking out.
Fyi- my hairline is still Norwood 0, I'm just losing hair all over my body. Including my eyebrows. Not sure if this is a good sign or not that my hairline is fine. My hair is my best feature, I will have no choice other than to
if this does not resolve (dedsrs).
