My english accent got so much worse compared to my early teens

I don't know why it happened exactly, i could mimic an american accent super well when i was 13-14 (not actually mimic, thats how i naturally spoke english). Now on the other hand at 22yo i have a much thicker balkan-slavic accent and sound mumble english words when i speak them out, unless i concentrate consciously on the words coming from my mouth
