Because from what i heard mirror makes you hella used to your own faces so you see past your own flaws but that or mirror selfies are still the most accurate ways to see what you look like, we just tend to overrate ourselves

mirror is basically how people see you, do an experiment if you want to with a friend of you in front of a big mirror, look at him then look at his reflection in the mirror.

lens distortion makes any minor defect that I have seem gigantic, I think it's good to learn to edit photos soon
