how does wine taste compared to other drinks, i always just drink spirits to get drunk as fast possible, tried wine a few times and wasnt impressed, is there some gatekept wine that actually tastes goodStarted earlier, I was too curious. So far so good. I really needed some change in my life.
@acme, this is like apple juice compared to the poison that is wine.

are you actually addicted or do you drink just for the love of the gamewasn't even ideal for me at the beginning (i don't mix it with mineral water or anything else), but after 3 years of drinking 12-15 l per week, it becomes unbearable. same goes for any food or drink you consume regularly throughout long periods, though
---
just realized i bought some pissweak beer with 4.9% of alcohol. only 3 0.5l bottles.
holy fucking retard. i assumed they are all at 10% or so minimum.
yeah, no blacking out for me today.

i used to drink like 3-4 Fourlokos(cheap and sweet, high ABV drink) every weekend. Never got so much fat and acne in so little time. Soon as i reduced alc intake to 2x ish a week, my body responded accordingly.
well my dad used to say he wasnt addicted and that he could stop whenever he wanted, long story short he stopped and had some fuckin panic attacks started shaking and ended up at rehab so u could start by trying to stop for a few weekshow to tell the difference, nigga

the slave part does not sound ugly at all, i am all for it, couldnt imagine not having any free time and eventually getting divorce raped by my fat wife (that became fat throughout our marriage jfl)i managed to stop for 4-5 weeks last year and didn't have any withdrawal symptoms. i just felt extremely depressed for the first couple of days. the sad part is, whenever i'd wake up and remember i didn't spend my last evening drinking, and that i can actually recall what i was doing, i was thankful to myself. still picked it up again after those couple of weeks anyway.
i just can't find a reason to try (in general sense, as in improving my lifestyle, setting goals etc) at this point. and i can't imagine myself spending the rest of my life as a slave to my family (hypothetical wife and kids), as ugly as it may sound.

ESTROGEN MAX.
imagine he gets sick like a cancer diagnosis or sum, literally his whole life gets ruined and its fully irreversible, probably kids lives as well, i truly think the majority of people that have kids regret it deep in their hearti had a colleague around my age (early 30s) with 2 kids (like 4 and 2), and his life looked like a nightmare to me. i was actually in awe of his drive and mental resilience.
we call it a day at work at, idk, 15:20, and, while i'm taking a slow walk home, just enjoying the day and knowing i'll spend the rest of it doing jack shit, he is rushing home to take care of his kids/buy something/fix his car/spend time with them/you name it, meaning his actual work day lasted pretty much 24 hours. and he couldn't even get proper sleep because little kids wake up all the time. not to mention medical issues or a million things that can go wrong.

How old was he roughly when that happened? Very brutalwell my dad used to say he wasnt addicted and that he could stop whenever he wanted, long story short he stopped and had some fuckin panic attacks started shaking and ended up at rehab so u could start by trying to stop for a few weeks
Yea. Not a fan of absinthe tbh. Has a very bitter taste but tastes fine in mixed drinks?for context, i m mostly drinking at home (loser deluxe trait) in the second half of the day, to feel buzzed and get that euphoria going without having to do or accomplish anything. for that reason stronger liquor isn't the option.
drinking when partying and socializing with your friends is a different beast, though. have you tried absinth?
late 40-ties, he wasnt drinking that much throughout his life but those 2yrs when he went to rehab etc i think he fell asleep drunk every single nightHow old was he roughly when that happened? Very brutal

My uncle also had something like this. He stopped cold turkey and would have brutal withdrawals. Like legit anxiety attacks and tremors. He suffered for months like this but he endured and last year celebrated 15 years of sobriety. My uncle celebrated his 15 years of sobriety
He used to be raging alcoholic in his youth. Used to chug down cans of beer like they were water. He was overall miserable even my dad thought he was done for but suddenly one day he was like enough is enough and went completely cold turkey instead of following the general advice od reducing...looksmax.org
Tbh I don't recommend going cold turkey i know it sounds very bad ass and sigma to do it but you can't just give up on your addictions like that. Withdrawls are real and can be life threateningye my father has been sober for some years as far as i know, he got through it i guess tho u never know if he will start again in old age

funny u say that its life threatening because my grandpas brother also went cold turkey because of health problems and he was a heavy drinker and he literally got much more sick when he got withdrawals, drinking heavily for 40 years and then going cold turkey when sick is certainly not smart imoTbh I don't recommend going cold turkey i know it sounds very bad ass and sigma to do it but you can't just give up on your addictions like that. all of that will catch up to you eventually, u gotta at least chill out or lower the intakethis is worrying, because i've been doing that too. a big factor in my drinking is that it enables you to fall asleep without having to lay in my bed for hours like a retard (and i had a huge problem with that since i was a kid; probably genetic)
just closing your eyes and falling asleep within a minute is much more practical, even though your sleep quality is shit and rem phase shorter when alcohol-induced.
i started with hypnotics and benzos a couple of years before starting to drink, and developed tolerance so high i need life threatening doses of those to get the effect i was once getting now.
and these (ambien + klonopin/xanax) have a mechanism of action quite similar to alcohol (binding to gabaa receptors), so i was already tolerant to it too before i even started drinking.
