Mirin, I too aspire to have a similar outcome with my career, at first I wanted to do avionics engineering but I settled on maybe doing software development or some form of cybersecurity at uni either for a firm or the ADF

If you want to do embedded systems. C++ is very useful but as a beginner i always recommend python because it is less verbose and easier to pick up

i did learn the basic of js(which i forgot) and lua which i still know some things

learning C++ after Python is way easier than starting C++ from scratch. All the core logic , problem solving and data structures remain the same. C++ is only harder because of manual memory management and pointers. Javascript is also great the backbone of the internet. Lua is a bit niche
