Holy fuck, I've just been catching up with a friend from school, we're both in uni now
He told me after uni he plans to go into a graduate job in investment banking earning £65k a year + potentially bonuses up to £30k.
The job requires 80 hours of work a week...
That's sickening tbh, and as someone anti wageslaving and an advocate for working less hours, I would probably genuinely kill myself if I had to work that many hours
If you worked a 5 day week, that's 16 hours a day, leaving 8 hours for sleep, eating, getting ready, commuting etc
This is in London and he plans to live in central London, so he's gonna be spending a fair amount on rent as well
He's not even a surgery maxxer
That's a sad level of delusion and cope imo if you're that brainwashed you're willing to sacrifice your every waking hour to wageslaving, only to have nothing worthwhile to spend it on, and not even making THAT much realistically
