My friend keeps getting bullied in school for being skinny / ugly need help

My friend richard, we both go to a private school and im like his only friend and they pick on him more then they pick on me, they call him big nose, he gets beat up and called ugly by some females in our school and i feel as if he's in a deep depression and i personally have no experience so i was wondering how i could help him.

Obviously he should improve himself, he's still in the normie range. However school is generally useless so I would recommend getting homeschooled or pursuing a trade, plus his social life is already ruined.
