universities don’t see your mock results, they see the grades your teachers predict which vary wildly depending on your school/teacher (I know 2 people at different schools, both with an A prediction, but one got an A* on his mock and the other got a C lol.) also you don’t need straight 9s but ‘bad’ GCSEs (in context of your school) will disadvantage you, literally everyone I have spoken to but you who goes to Oxbridge/LSE says this, LSE even say on their website that you need 7s 8s and 9s.They use your mock results. You aren’t even at university, are you? You’re just repeating what your head of year rambled to you all. If they use your GCSEs for your predicted grades and not the mock exams conveniently placed before the application then your school needs a slap.
