For context I’d say I’m mtn-htn except for my jaw area which severly hinders me down to a hltn (average). I don’t share photos but most who rate me say I’m hltn and sometimes lmtn. My jaw is my greatest weakness. I have lip incompetence and messed up bite issues from my habits as a kid. I met with a surgeon who says we can do genio with some forward advancement (8mm based off his guess but we haven’t measured anything for sure) and some vertical reduction (moving it up) to fix the lip incompetence. Not only will this help me functionally but also strengthen my jaw area significantly. It’ll be extremely high ROI aesthetically.
My parents aren’t fully on board with the idea and prefer no invasive treatments but they aren’t too against me doing it if I really want to. In other words they aren’t too firm in their position on this.
I’m a foreign student so I’ll be doing consults during winter break when I go back to my home country and probably be doing the surgery this next summer if I really try and my mindset hasn’t changed.
For the record I am against purely cosmetic procedures despite being on a looksmaxxing forum, but my case solves a functional and aesthetic issue and is genuinely a realistic outcome. I am a hypocrite to some extent tho because I also do want the aesthetic benefits aswell
Regarding the payment I am fortunate enough (thank god) to have my parents probably pay for it if I want to do it. I will be trying to pay for it myself though by starting up a business idea I have though. I’ll use it as motivation to actually pay for it myself for my business.
Also, one last note. Do not only looksmax, it is pretty underwhelming thing to be successful in because you haven’t actually achieved anything substantial. Once u actually ascend and achieve slays or whatever there’s nothing more to it. You need to actually do something other than looksmax which is something people focus too much on when it shouldn’t be the whole thing (it’s still important but not the only important thing). And for those that say better looks will help in all aspects of life, yes it will but it alone will not get you the life you want. It is only a multiplier to the effort you put in yourself.
