AP/IB classes are weighted so that an A is a 5.0 (or 4.5 or something ion remember). You will have a weighted and unweighted GPA reported on your transcript though and colleges often only look at the unweighted one; some even convert your GPA to their own scales so you can't take advantage of how some high schools make an A+ worth a 4.33.

If you’re in ap or honors u get an extra grade point on the weighted gpa, so u could possibly have 5 gpa if u took all honors and got all A+s
