After the Japanese occupation. They made the sons of households stand in line, my great great grandfather then stood in his place.

What happened? Those men were sent to build the Thai-burma railway and he never returned.

Moral of the story? Idk bud, just don't be on the losing side I guess :ogre:

Probably just got stuck in that area for the rest of his life with nothing to his name or died.

Estimated 2/7 workers there died building the railway

We were Asians we had nothing to do with the Nazis.

Our country was more or less neutral. We were just under the British at the time. When the Japanese came and colonised us the British just got up and left basically.

Like the British, they couldn't massacre or completely fuck us over because we have alot of resources here that that the time was considered valuable.

Large plantations, rubber, palm oil, large amounts of land and hills etc.
