Well, here a repost of a thread that got deleted. I think it was bcuz i was trash talking ir something. So Here it is, but in a lighter version.
Between 5th and 9th grade, I was basically invisible, or worse.
People didn’t want to be around me, and I’d often hear things like “eww” or “that’s gross.”
Looking back, I understand why.
I didn’t take care of myself, had pretty bad acne, was overweight, and socially awkward.
The only relationships I had during that time were with girls who were "mor really pretty" , it felt like that was the only option available to me.
Everything started to change around 10th grade.
I improved my looks a bit, and for the first time, I got some positive attention ,a girl even asked for my Instagram.
Later, I got into a relationship, but it ended up being toxic.
After it ended, she moved on to another guy who, in my opinion, wasn’t better-looking than me, but he was significantly taller.
(I’m 175 cm / 5'9", and he was around 2 meters / 6'7".)
That’s when I really started to notice how much factors like looks, height, and overall presence can influence how people are treated.
From there, I focused on improving myself:
getting lean
fixing my skin
improving my jawline and overall aesthetics
learning about diet, style, and grooming
Over time, I became much more aware of how appearance affects social interactions.
In 2025, I joined the community and started taking things more seriously.
What I’ve learned from all of this is simple:
appearance does play a big role in how people treat you.
The difference in how I’m treated now compared to back then is huge.
People are more open, more respectful, and more willing to engage.
It’s not everything, but it definitely matters more than most people are willing to admit.
