1. Dragon's Dogma 1 Dark Arisen
Fantastic game with one of the most fascinating and engaging combat system with all sorts of classes that are all fun to play as, story is not really the main attraction but by the end you are left with a very Schopenhauerian ending that made it that much more interesting, not to mention the pawn system is perhaps one of the most unique online video game mechanics put in a mainly single player game (don't want to spoil)
Gameplay/GMV:
2. F.E.A.R.
One of the greatest FPS games made in the 2000s, enough to rival Halo CE, it has one of the most intelligent enemy AI's that makes it feel like you are actually shooting/fighting a military squad and keeps you on your toes no matter the situation, although horror is not a genre that I quite like I found the horror in here really good and always kept you on your toes without relying on jump scares half the time, not to mention despite being old because of the way the lighting is designed it makes it hold up really well even today graphically
3. Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines
Don't really have much more to say about this game that I have not posted about already, just read my thread on it and you will get the gist, play it NOW. https://looksmax.org/threads/vtm-bl...e-and-depiction-of-what-vampires-are.2143675/
4. Armored Core 6: Fires Of Rubicon
One of the only games for me that gets mech gameplay right, so sick and tired of western games trying to emulate tanks when this is what the gameplay should feel like, also a very great game story wise considering it will make you care and engaged in a story in which they not once show a single human face, just dialogue/radio coms, the gameplay loop of constantly customizing your mech with all the parts you find and optimizing it for your play style with all the different options as well is just extremely addicting
5. Monster Hunter World
This game is so addicting that I have had my girlfriend get extremely upset to the point of crying because I kept forgetting to reply because I am sucked into this game
thats how great and fun it is, (still need to play the older titles though), the gameplay loop with the weapons you choose and trying to master and get the combos and fighting a big ass monster is just the best, story is ass but this is the kind of game where it does not matter,
HM.
Too lazy to type out these ones but pathfinder wotr, kenshi, rimworld, dwarf fortress, europa universalis 4, crusader kings 2, FMD muramasa, muv luv alternative, tyranny are all other games I would highly recommend, this isn't a ranking and all of these games are just as good even the ones here
