My mom says I'm not a physician

She says that I'm not a physician and that I should be listening to what the doctor says.
She doesn't understand that my research is better more up to date than what the doctor knows.
She doesn't care if I pin my own test she just thinks it's a bad idea and that the doctor knows better.
Is everyone's mom like this?? It's cool she'll let me pin without being mad at me but why doesn't she think I know what I'm talking about?
She said to talk to the doctor again and directly tell him I reject the cholesterol medicine and strictly want trt and nothing else.
I don't want to see the retard doctor again though.

Honestly, I think ur mom just wants to make sure ure safe, even if she doesnt totally get where ure coming at. Most people are raised to trust doctors no matter what so when u start talking about newer info or self managing, it sounds risky to them even if uve done lots of solid research. I’d say dont stress trying to convince her just show her ure being smart and intentional. And if that doctor isn’t listening or just pushing meds u don’t want, it might be worth finding one whos actually willing to work with u, not just dictate. That way u can get what you need and still keep things cool. But ja praying everything goes well for u brah

I wish people didn't take the doctors words as law since they cause alot of people health issues they didn't already have.
