I got tired of coloring the pictures, but you get the idea. There are a couple dozen more I could add.
These are final rounds or near-final rounds. If I included early rejections, the number would be in the hundreds. I made it to the very end. Final candidate Last person in the room. Interviewers clearly impressed and still they said no
In more than one case, I was about to get the offer. HR had it ready. Then it came down to a checkbox.
My freelance experience โdidnโt count.โ They suddenly wouldnโt sponsor a visa even though the role explicitly said they would.
This went on for months. Rejection after rejection but I never gave up because Iโm not a quitter. My dad didnโt spend 22 years feeding me just so I could fold after a few useless interviews. Iโm posting it for people who give up before they even try like @SharpOrange, who DMโd me about quitting studying because it was โtoo hard,โ when the hard part hadnโt even begun which is finding a job.
