So since my chin wing surgeon entirely cut my inferior alveolar nerve and my lower lip on the right and the chin have been suffering sensory disturbance ever since, I've had to come up with a less risky surgical method because we all know that a BSSO carries the highest risk for permanent nerve damage.
As of now, it looks like it's possible to extract my wisdom teeth and to reposition my right jaw angle almost risk free in a first step.
The second step consist of a 5mm lefort 1 and placement of an intramandibular distractor for IMDO right behind the second molars, so basically where the BSSO cut is made:
It will also include minor lateralization of the ramus (around 2 - 3mm per side) and it reduces the risk for additional nerve damage to almost zero, as opposed to the relatively risk BSSO.
In a third and final step then I will get the distractor removed and some PEEK or Titanium jaw angle implants placed.
I've talked to 3 surgeons so far who do this and my cuck ortho didn't like the idea at first but now seems to understand my genius and I think he will also agree.
