Man you have no idea what my life was. Moreover I bet that even in the US very bright students get scholarships if they deserve it. I don't buy it because average IQ is around 100 and is enough for a person to be successful if he/she applies herself and work very hard instead of watching keeping up with the Kardashian or browsing IG 12 hours per day. Then sure, the higher the IQ the better your chances, but the biggest reason some people never make it, it's because they just don't want it or don't want to study hard...their biggest aspiration in life (especially for many girls) is becoming influencers and making easy money. Little effort, high reward but they don't understand that this only works if you are an outlier (extremely good looking). Then of course there are some people that don't deserve what they have, trust fund kids who had their life served for them before they were even born (through money and family connections) or model looking guys and girls who can make money simply by posting pics on IG. But these are exceptions and I do agree these exceptions should be contained. Raise taxes to those people. There is zero reason why a scientist that make 300,000$/year should pay the same amount of taxes of a dumb influencer that make the same. The first help the world advancing science, technology and well being...the second do nothing and is only a bad example for the millions of people who want to follow his/her path and dumb down society with it. Taxes shouldn't be based only on how much a person makes but positive/negative externalities should also be considered and tax brackets adjusted accordingly.

That being said in life many qualities offset each other. You can't have it all. For example an high IQ person can have some benefits in having a good career but the neuroticism that goes along with high IQ will have negative consequences in other aspect of his life. Many low IQ people enjoy life more because they are low inhibition and so are able to enjoy life to the fullest. Pleasure isn't given just by money. I'm pretty sure sex is an important aspect of life and I'm also sure low (not retarded) IQ people have more sex than very high IQ people.

I believe each person should own his mistakes/shortcomings and not blame others for his failures. The Lincoln quotes ring true to me because he acutely understood that is jealousy that often move low achievers in their quest to blame high achievers. Instead people should think more about bettering themselves, having self responsibility and do the most they can with what they have been given.

Striving for equal opportunities is good, wanting the same lifestyle regardless of efforts is not. That being said sometimes life is cruel and some people (a very small minority) are born with big handicaps and/or diseases and they can't even try. Those people are at a tail of a normal distribution (meaning they are rare), as much as trust fund kids and models are at the other tail. Those people who got such a harsh sentence from life should get help by society but a guy/girl who had the opportunities and decided to squander it by only caring about partying hard and trying to be a IG influencer or whatever has no right on other's people money. They should look in the mirror and realize they have only themselves to blame.

Considerably above average (in the legend it means AT LEAST 2 standard deviation above the mean....of a gaussian distribution of course). So I'm > 97,5 percentile based on IQ genes and I got an equal score based on the real IQ test I did at school. But I consider the genetic one even more realistic since your genes can't cheat.

I can be 97,5 or 99,5 percentile in terms of IQ....it just say > 97,5. That must be why I think almost everybody is a retard and often have to dumb myself down to fit in.
And my brain is the only good thing I have, because the other genes are shit and both the report and my eyes can testify it.
