i asked him for a palate expander, tried to use the sleep apnea excuse

and then he just rambles about how braces cant fix that

tons of orthodontic tools like sarpe mpe rpe alf device can help

he gives appointments once every 2-3 months i genuienly dont think thats normal

most orthos give adjustments like once a month....


at this point i couldve done my braces myself , my case was really minor all i really needed was a little bit of expansion

i cant afford the 4k+ for an actual good orthodontist though, and it wouldNT be worth it for me because my teeth arent THAT bad

its just that i have a really narrow palate , my tongue doesnt even fit in my palate its scalloped

so im thinking i can just make a device that will constantly apply pressure to the roof of my mouth , it mimics constant thumb pulling/mewing

problem is idk how to approach that i might just look for orthdontic wires on amazon and mold a diy alf device

yea I regret dropping 1,500$ dollars on him bro doesnt know what hes doing

it even explicitly states "sleep apnea"

I just didnt want to argue with him and accepted he wasnt going to give me a expander
