My Orthodontist Gave me this Appliance

So then he told me to get mouth guard And that will stop my jaw to Go Back In the night and that will open my Airway, Today I get it and it is for my lower jaw and i think It's a little bit tight , Should I wear this does this can stops my Maxilla abs Mandible growth, What it do is it Locks My Jaw because it is made of plastic and when I try to pull my lower jaw back this mouth guard locks my lower jaw with the help of my upper jaw teeths
