I learned what sex was at like 6. No one ever sat me down either, but in europe sex is a more normalized topic of conversation even around children, there was sex on TV at all times too. It was like any other thing you just casually learned of by observing and listening to your surroundings. I don't think anyone ever gave me "the talk" for death either. It's always so weird when in these shitty american family sitcoms they always have an episode where the adults have to explain "death" to a kid. I mean with sex I get that it's way more taboo in america, but death? Is there some "talking about death around children" taboo in america I've never heard of before?
