My phone to pc usb tethering isnt working, how to fix?

Usually i use a usb charger to get wifi on my computer, however recently (since last night) every time i tries connecting the usb tethering it wouldnt do shit, it would show the connected icon on where the WiFi symbol is on the pc but then after 30 seconds it would just default the no wifi symbol, does anyone know how to fix this? Im having to right on my phone
