I think I've made a serious mistake. For years my reflection has had to watch me, and I suspect it's starting to pick up some of my habits. At first everything seemed normal, but lately there's something different about the way it looks back at me. It used to just copy what I was doing. Now it feels like it's judging me. Yesterday I walked past a mirror and genuinely got the impression that my reflection looked slightly more confident than I did. That's obviously impossible, but I can't think of another explanation. The situation has escalated to the point where I avoid making eye contact for too long because I don't want to encourage it. If anyone knows how to humble a reflection before it develops a superiority complex, I'm open to suggestions.
