micro-needle your nasolabial folds if you're genetically prone to it, keeps mine at bay.

What do you think of derms saying not to do this because of possible skin damage doing it your self?
skin damage from micro-needling is mainly from rollers causing micro-tears from pulling, the needling devices don't have this issue if you don't go too deep.

Right thanks, do you do this for collagen production / anti aging purposes or acne scars?

Not a letter.

collagen, which is anti ageing.

it works extremely well for the folds, even more so than tiny wrinkles elsewhere.

Sounds very simple indeed

dr penn 8, it's small and cheap.
with the dermaroller I know you should clean it well after each usage. How do the dermapens work? Does it come with multiple needles and the needles are just for single usage, or do you have to clean it like a dermaroller? Also do you apply any creams before/after treatment (eg. if you use retin-a afterwards will it lead to increased absorption of it and better results, or does the skin need some time to repair?)

they have disposable single use cartridges, but you can just clean them with boiling water if you didn't do much surface area.

apply hyaluronic acid afterwards and moisturize, avoid harsher retinoids for a few days.

btw do you know if there are any anti aging benefits of microneedling? ie would it be worth starting earlier or would i get the same long term results if i started later
