Some history:
I had moderate to severe acne from 16-18 yrs old and isotretinoin eventually cured it (surprise). From 18-21 my skin was very good, with no acne at all. After this point I started to notice pimples coming in again, however not in an acne-like way, and not as often as a teenager. My dermatologist said this can happen a few years after quitting isotretinoin.
Now:
I get occasional pimples, whiteheads and sometimes some very mild folliculitis from shaving. I have been using simply CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and CeraVe Moisturising Cream for years morning and night. A month ago I quit the cleanser and began just using water. I noticed less tightness, redness and also less spots. Because of summer, I must start using sunscreen, which would require me to also use a cleanser, because water is supposedly not enough to remove the sunscreen and not removing it at the end of the day is said to cause build up -> acne... I have only recently gotten interested in looksmaxing and doing actual research on the stuff I should do, and right now I think my skin is the most important factor to focus on, since I have always had trouble with it.
Note that my selection of products are limited to what is available and legal in my location.
After researching this forum and Google + AI, I decided to go with this routine:
Morning:
Water, The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% Serum, CeraVe Moisturising Cream, La Roche Posay Anthelios UVMUNE Anti-Dark Spots SPF50+
Night:
Avene Tolerance Cleanser, The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% Serum, CeraVe Moisturising Cream
Daily Oral Supplements:
1000mg Vitamin C, 200mg Hyaluronic Acid, 1000mg Vitamin D, 25mg Zinc, 375mg Magnesium
