Sure it's not just the purging phase? How long have you been on?

start with a weaker stuff and work your way up that's what i did and never forget spf 50

I don’t know what you’re using but maybe it’s some other component in your product that your skin doesn’t like?

Try reducing dosage and slowly titrate up. I take oral retinol instead of isotretinoin now they work the same for me anyway and I only microdose it now because cumulative effects and build-up for over 2 1/2+ years have made me very sensitive to retinoids lol... of course I got ultra clear smooth skin nearly always nowadays anyway, so I don't even need it except for slight maintenance and I take it as part of my anti-aging stack too.

Microdosing can work just as well when done over long enough time periods also according to a lot of statistics and user experiences, more about time on retinoids than high/total dosages to give skin cells and sebaceous glands and the latter to shrink in size, which after all realistically TAKES TIME.

Hmm I just cleanse with alcohol a lil bit which removes dirt and gunk and top layer of dead skin, though lately I have been lazy even with this and having clear skin anyway lol. Wash my face with soap in the shower too though only carefully like eod usually and shit. Alcohol somehow damaging your skin is super overrated as fuck lol doctors and nurses use that shit dozens of times a day on their hands without issues. Top layer of skin is dead anyway so there is nothing to "damage" imo lol.

As for moisturizer I just use deodorized coconut oil everything else kind of sucks anyway compared to this, fatty lip balm for my lips as well especially in winter. Hate lotion creams think they suck and leave too much shit behind on your skin, I need real fats for good moisturizing and protection against dryness and dry cold air. Has no effects on acne/skin clearness for me.

I don't really use SPF but I am careful with being out in the sun much especially when I got no tan. I think I would use SPF if I worked a lot outside though.

And yeah IMO for clear skin it is by far best to use retinoids and address the root cause instead of coping. Eventually you are supposed to reach a state where you hardly have to do anything for your skin and it stays clear. Another acne secret is suppressing DHT especially with dutasteride lol, good double whammy together with retinoids for shrinking sebaceous glands(DHT and androgens ALSO stimulates sebaceous glands growth and activity) and good if you already show signs of NORWOOD etc. Double bonus hair/clear skin effect.
