My stance on celibacy and semen retention

3. I don’t agree with many semen retainers/celibacy advocates. I’m not religious so don’t agree with any religious arguments. I also don’t agree with marriage or staying celibate until you find “the right person”. I also don’t agree with the “spiritual” people who retain for these reasons

3b. There is also a lot of cope out there. As mentioned, the spiritual people who think semen is sacred and your “life force”, people using SR to get a “glow” or other physical improvements, people saying “girls can sense when you’re on semen retention bro” etc

I believe in celibacy and SR as the best way to live your life, for serenity, not because of some religious beliefs or any powers you get. Even without celibacy, I believe in SR because ejaculating drains you and makes you feel shit after (edging also prolongs the fun). That said, I don’t believe the occasional ejaculation is terrible, though I choose not to ejaculate atm.

I have talked about lifelong celibacy and semen retention, and if we’re planning the ideal serene life, I believe that is the way. But I also don’t think you have to be dogmatic or ascetic. Just as long as you aren’t extremely sexually motivated or lack self control, vulnerable to manipulation

Of course i am not being reductionist and understand humans operate at a higher level of emergence for example monks cope this way with abstinence. I know it’s unrealistic long term. I said it was ideal. I myself don’t think I will do it, though I think I will continue to practise periods of celibacy. For over a year, I had it controlled to the point where I had no interest in sex, but those urges will always come back. It’s easier for monks when they believe it will help them reach enlightenment etc. Even if I think it’s best for a the highest quality of life, without that religious belief, it is hard to completely avoid it for life
