The amount of cope thats veen spread that ‘sunlight is damaging to muh collagen’ is bullshit. Before saying the routine watch this video:

1. Eat tons of saturated fat.
1744354112924

Your melanin doesn’t just decide your rate of burning/damage but your skin fat composition does too. The omega 3/6 ratio also plays a role. Eat tons of fish and sticks of butter

1744354243851

This truck driver 100% ate bullshit foods everyday and was told to be wary of his cholesterol intake.

Now now, when we see an athletic old man who very likely eats healthy food, this is what we see:
59701D60 F480 46CA BA9F EE08CC0E7847

2. Diy sunscreen that has no estrogenic bullshit. UV is good yes, but overexposure to anything is bad
1744354205524

^bitch probably also ate tons of plant products

This is just a safety procation, to block out excess UVA and UVB that your skin hasn’t adapted too absorbing without damage. Instead just getting redlight, collagen booster jfl.

DIY Sunscreen Recipe (SPF ~30+)

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (natural SPF ~4–6, moisturizing, antimicrobial)
  • 2 tablespoons shea butter (optional but moisturizing and soothing)
  • 1 tablespoon beeswax (helps waterproof the sunscreen, optional)
  • 2 tablespoons non-nano zinc oxide (broad-spectrum UV blocker)
  • 1 tablespoon titanium dioxide (broad-spectrum UV blocker, complements zinc oxide)
  • Optional: a few drops of vitamin E oil (preservative + antioxidant)
  • Optional: a few drops of essential oil (e.g., lavender or tea tree—avoid citrus oils, as they can increase photosensitivity)

Instructions:

  1. Melt the base oils:
    • In a double boiler (or glass bowl over simmering water), melt coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswaxtogether until fully liquid.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly but not solidify.
  3. Stir in zinc oxide and titanium dioxide very gently and thoroughly.
    • Important: Don’t inhale the powders. Wear a mask or avoid creating dust clouds.
  4. Add vitamin E and essential oils if using.
  5. Pour into a glass jar or squeeze tube.
  6. Let it set at room temperature or in the fridge.

Now, finally the 3rd step, spend endless hours in the beach training and relaxing :feelsyay:

UV can be the only damaging part of the sun, in excess. That may be true. UVA and UVB is good an EXCESS is bad. Thats why just use the sunscreen formula and then jfl go spend hours on end in the beach

100%. Thats why theres a thing called excess UV. White people arent supposed to live in australia. Why else are the natives fucking black skinned? Gtfo of Australia, living in Europe/America is more optimal

Should you obey the majority of those on earth, they would lead you astray from Allâh´s way. They follow nothing but mere surmise and they do nothing but make conjectures. 6:116

i literally dont need to read any of the studies because it is proven beyond a doubt that sunlight fucks with collagen and elastin in our skin, so whatever these studies say doesn't change that fact.

However, i will agree (and have made high-value threads about it) that sun protection is somewhat exaggerated by the mainstream.

I agree with this mostly but it feels like banging my head against a wall whenever I've tried to explain this stuff.

Diet is critical for cell DNA repair (and cell repair generally). You can't get nutrient support without at least going heavily animal-based. Cells undergo DNA damage thousands of times a day, the mechanisms of repair are very complex and involve a lot of critical nutrients. When these are removed from the diet the result is ageing.

I realised this a few years ago when veganism became really popular, around 2014 or so. I couldn't help but notice how fast they aged, how their collagen just disappeared, how it could make people in their 20s look like they were 60. They don't tan normally in the sun either; their skin is gray and it only burns. There is clearly not a normal response to the sun and it should be alarming that quitting animal foods can have such a drastic impact on ageing and collagen. By the way, these people use vegan sunscreens religiously. Then to make it worse, many of these vegans don't even get sun. They live in places like scandinavia with very little exposure, and still their collagen just disappears.

It was this observation of vegan ageing that made me go down the rabbit hole of diet, Weston Price, Aajonus, and all the rest of it.

All of the studies I've seen on the subject involve normal modern populations; ie malnourished people. I've also seen how skin cancer rates exploded since the 50s and the invention of sunscreen and awareness of UV.

To me, it's quite obvious that the sun doesn't cause damage and ageing, it is a trivial stressor against which the malnourished modern person lacks a normal response. The objective for looksmaxxers should be to reject modern diet fads and to obtain enough nutritional support for optimal DNA repair. Then you need sun exposure appropriate to the latitude of your ancestry. Obviously a white person in Florida needs far less sun than a white person in Finland.
