So I fell for the Mewing meme a while ago and didn’t wear my retainer for a year or so, and I had to literally work at it for months to make it fit again slowly. I wear it at night, but by the end of the day my teeth have literally shifted a little bit.
This happens every day.

idk I got my braces off like 7 years ago lmao, wore retainer for about 1 year and then stopped, was not aware/did not care back then so can't tell you how long it took for the bottom teeth to shift... my top teeth are still perfectly straight though

I wasn't gonna gonna wear my retainer and was gonna wear myobrace,I wore it for like 5-6 days and noticed my teeth shifting quite severely.

sometimes i feel like no retainers are legit, because the teeth shift and that does mean the jaw is still growing in some way, but you need excellent oral posture or its over

No, they shift because they’re roots are stuck in the same place as they always were and they want to move back. Nothing to do with growth unfortunately
