the lyrics are always mostly crap, i don't bother to understand it, the voice doesn't matter, enjoyment has more to do with the performer's musical instinct and the music itself. this is why rap is a waste of time. it has no music, you might as well just read the lyrics yourself, but why would you, it's even shittier than pop song lyrics.

Yeah, I've seen more of the opposite actually. Fatass white dudes who lurk on /pol/ all day listen to what is generally considered "manly" music (that being metal), but of course we all know those types are severely deficient in T.
