My theory is that you should try to date women with similar salaries who work jobs that require somewhat similar use of brainpower. People with radically different jobs will have difficulty understanding the value that the other person brings. You do not want to marry a woman who is much poorer as she will be a massive drain nor do you want to date a woman who is more wealth as she will resent you. The ideal situation is a similar income where no one has a significant economic or prestige advantage.
