The most important thing that I can tell you is that everyone's is different. Just because some guy hopped on this one cleanser, supplement (or in my case some serum) and his skin cleared up doesn't mean it will work for you. There are roughly 20,000 genes in human DNA, i can fucking promise you that just like the shape of your nose, size of your frame, how tall you are; it varies from person to person.
Had shit acne for a year or so and tried to get rid of it, heres everything I tried
- Supplementing omega 3, spearmint, zinc.
- Drinking fuck loads of water
- Perfect sleep
- No shit food (refinded sugars, seed oils etc)
- Changing my pillow case daily
- Showering daily
- Cut out dairy
- Exercising daily
- Healthy doses of sun daily (with spf, and made sure it was non comedogenic)
Now contrary to what I will say in the next couple senteces, I strongly recommend you try this out, do it consistenly for one month or so, there's no harm in trying, if it goes sideways atleast you know that whatever is causing your skin to be shit is most likely a skincare issue and from there it's very easy and from a scientific standpoint this should improve your acne.
*I did this consitently for like 3 - 4 weeks not sure exactly-*
Not sure why but this did sweet fuck all for me, it made it good and then it got worse. Don't take this as an end all be all, everyone's skin is different and like I mentioned before try this out before buying any skincare products. I'd say 90% of you people who have acne it is more than likely an internal rather than external, heres what I do now and my skin is consistently better;
Niacinamide: this is the holy grail, it will purge you hard, don't hop off once you see breakouts, because the end result is so worth it, my purging consisted of like one shitty breakout that lasted for a week max. Niacinamide has lots of effects but most importantly it regulates sebum production.
I apply it at night in a serum form, one drop on each cheek and rub it in well, before this I cleanse with a light moisurizing cleanser, and after niacinamide I use spf moisturizer. In the morning after cleansing I apply benzoyl peroxide to any pimples I may have, but I havent done this in about a week or so, and after that I apply some salicylic acid and chuck on some SPF moistuizer. I change my pillow case like once every 2 weeks or so and eat pretty shit if im being honest, and get pretty terrible sleep and barely drink as much water as I should.
Some other bullshit I see:
Do not under any circumstance go heavy on skincare, it really is not that deep, all you have to do is remove oil, apply some things to help your skin out, add moisture back into the skin. For example cleanse -> vit c serum -> moisturize -> SPF (if you are going out).
Secondly for the love of god listen to your skin, if your skin starts burning when you apply it, or stinging whatever the fuck, take it off and don't use it again, some low IQ shit I pulled a while back was double cleansing with an oil cleanser, I broke out so fucking bad and convinced myself that it was just purging, I continued to use it and ended up getting some chemical burns around my eyes, they got all red and shit JFL.
Any other questions I'll reply to if I end up checking this thread lol
